Dancing in Pagosa Springs

Ever wonder what it is like to camp with a 1 1/2 year old baby? In my case, It's awesome.

These are the photos I took of Penny on our last camping trip of the summer.  She logged a great many

hours in our bus, and was relatively well behaved. She is used to traveling long distances in The Pig.

She has been doing it her whole life. It's all she knows. Having Penny along at a Festival turned out to

make the experience more enjoyable.  You would expect the opposite. Yes, we had to constantly chase

her around. Yes, she rejected her wagon like it had a disease or something, and Yes she was a handful.

The patrons of the festival all seemed to fall in love her the minute they laid eyes on her. I really think

its the glasses. I have noticed that when I take her out in public without them, I get nary a reaction. It's

business as usual.

Slide on her purple glasses, and people start freaking out all over the place. Everyone wants to touch

her, everyone wants to dance with her, everyone wants to be her best friend.

Seriously, it was almost as good as having a back stage pass. The security woman who was guarding

the back stage entrance, let us set up our blanket basically right by her. I got to watch several of the

musicians arrive and hang out, it was a cool glimpse into that V.I.P. world that I never see.

I'm not the "groupie" type anyway. The only people I am a groupie of are my kids.

Enjoy the photos!
